The Electronic Chart Display & Information Systems Course aims to provide the student with the right knowledge to stand watch using electronic charts, so that he will be able to plan a voyage, with a clear understanding of the ECDIS System’s functioning, it’s elements & main uses.
Maritime Specialty Course as approved by the DGMM (Dirección General de la Marina Mercante) and endorsed by the IMO (International Maritime Organisation).
Training agreement with Barcelona School of Nautical Studies.

Attributions
To be the holder of the ECDIS (Electronic Charts Display & Information System) certification, is a requirement to all Masters, Pilots, Chief Officers and Crew of Deck on board vessels that carry this equipment.
This programme fits into the official norm of the Spanish Law Orden FOM/2296/2002, in accordance with the Training Code of the STCW-78 Convention. It's contents appear in Section A-II/1 & A-II/2 of the Training Code.
