Attributions
This course is oriented to all personnel that performs professional sea-faring duties in commercial and fishing vessels, being a compulsory certification to attain the maritime identification booklet. The Social Maritime Bureau of Spain will request this document in order to issue an appointment for the ENG1 medical examination.
Wide range of professional opportunities come along with the attainment of this training and certification:
• Dockhand at a Marina or Sailing Club.
• Seaman on board a fishing vessel by adding the Professional Fisherman License.
• Seaman or Mariner without steering or engine tasks in any vessel.
• Different cruise vessel positions.
• Assistant on board a vessel dedicated to waterjet-skiing, scuba-diving, water jet-skiing platforms, vessels, among others.
This programme fits into the official Resolution of September 21st 2016, and acts in accordance to the Formative Code of the STCW-78 Convention. It's content appears in Rule VI / 1 of the ammended STCW-78 Convention, Section A-VI / 1, Charts A-VI / 1-1 A-VI/1-2, A-VI/1-3, A-VI/1-4, and Section B-VI / 1 of the Training Code.


Passenger Ships Course (CM)

The Passenger Ships Course, will provide the student with knowledge on how to handle emergencies, crowd management & passenger and cargo integrity. It will also present the student with the usual drills and exercises to be performed periodically, & the familiarisation of the crew.

This course is oriented to all Masters, Chief Officers, Chief Engineers, ETO's as well as AB's and all rest of the crew (Cook, waitors, entertainers, receptionists, among many others.). That have been assigned with assisting the passengers in an emergency situation on board passenger ships, such as conventional cruises or ferries, as well as ro-ro ships, with tonnage that is equal or superior to 500 DWT, or that are authorised to board 300 passengers or more.
This programme fits into the official norm of the Spanish Law Orden FOM/2296/2002, in accordance with the Training Code of the STCW-78 Convention. It's content appears in Sections A-V / 2 & A-V / 3 of the amended Training Code.

This course is oriented to all crew on board merchant vessels, who are required to perform the Basic Ship Security and Port Protection course and are not yet Ship Protection Officers. In this course all training, instruction and competency norms for decision making and awareness with security related issues are included in the certification.
This programme fits into the official norm of the Spanish Law of Orden FOM/2296/2002, in accordance with the Code of Training of the STCW-78 Convention. It's content appears in Rule VI/6 of the STCW-78 amended Convention, Section A-VI/6-2 & Section B-VI/6 of the Training Code.


Survival Crafts & Rescue Boats Course

For Masters, Chief Officers and Chief Engineers of passenger vessels, merchant vessels of: Tonnage over 75 GT and fishing boats over 20 meter LOA; as well as for the entire personnel on board that has been assigned with the tasks of setting up the survival crafts and rescue boats.
This programme fits into the official Resolution FOM/2296/2002 and Resolution of June 18 2013, and acts in accordance to the Formative Code of the STCW-78 Convention. It's content appears in Rule VI / 2 of the ammended STCW-78 Convention, Section A-VI / 2-1, Charts A-VI / 2-1, and Section B-VI / 2 of the Training Code.
