This course is oriented to all personnel that performs professional sea-faring duties in commercial and fishing vessels, being a compulsory certification to attain the maritime identification booklet. The Social Maritime Bureau of Spain will request this document in order to issue an appointment for the ENG1 medical examination.

Wide range of professional opportunities come along with the attainment of this training and certification:

• Dockhand at a Marina or Sailing Club.
• Seaman on board a fishing vessel by adding the Professional Fisherman License.
• Seaman or Mariner without steering or engine tasks in any vessel.
• Different cruise vessel positions.
• Assistant on board a vessel dedicated to waterjet-skiing, scuba-diving, water jet-skiing platforms, vessels, among others.

This programme fits into the official Resolution of September 21st 2016, and acts in accordance to the Formative Code of the STCW-78 Convention. It's content appears in Rule VI / 1 of the ammended STCW-78 Convention, Section A-VI / 1, Charts A-VI / 1-1 A-VI/1-2, A-VI/1-3, A-VI/1-4, and Section B-VI / 1 of the Training Code.

The Global Maritime Distress and Safety System General Operator (GMDSS) course, will enable the student to become qualified personnel in charge of emergency, urgency, distress and routine communications. The course provides a wide knowledge of all GMDSS equipment and procedures, on board vessels navigating in area A1 (continuous VHF DSC coverage from the SRC equipped with VHF TR).

This course is oriented to all Masters, Chief Officers and crew in charge of navigational watches in civilian vessels that comply with the Global Maritime Distress & Safety System, in Maritime Area A1, in accordance with the definition that contemplates the Spanish Law Real Decreto 1185/2006 of October 16th.

This programme fits into the official norm of the Orden FOM/2296/2002 of the Spanish Law, in compliance with the Code of Training of the STCW-78 Convention. It's content appears in Rule IV/2 of the STCW-78 amended Convention, Section A-IV/2 of the Code of Training and the ERC/DEC/(99)01 regulation of the Spanish Regulation.

This course is aimed to all Masters, Chief Officers, Chief Engineers and Pilots who have been assigned with navigational watches on board vessels who are required to carry a "C-Type" First Aid Kit, as disposed by the Spanish Regulation Real Decreto 258/1999 of February 12th. It is also mandatory to attain the Spanish Professional Skipper License and Port Pilot License.

This program fits into the official norm of the Orden PRE/646/2004 of March 5th, in accordance with the STCW-78 Convention. It's content appears in Section A-VI/4, Chart A-VI/4-1 of the Training Code.
